New measurement capabilities

Charnwood are proud to announce our new measurement capabilities
We can now offer UKAS calibration for most temperature instruments from – 80 °C to 255 °C with a 0.02°C uncertainty and from 265°C to 410°C with a 0.1 uncertainty.
The new measurement capabilities along with our existing UKAS Hydrometer calibration and Relative humidity facility make us very unique as a independent calibration laboratory throughout the world.
Charnwood is also well known as a leading supplier of mercy in glass thermometers /Digital thermometers/ hydrometers /and industrial instruments.

Further Expansion

Charnwood instrumentation services Ltd have purchased more equipment to enable us to expand our calibration range.

We are currently working towards a much higher and lower temperature range of – 80 to + 400 degrees C while maintaining our 0.05 uncertainty. The equipment is in place and undergoing trials.

UKAS for Relative Humidity

Charnwood has now gained UKAS accredition for the calibration of most relative Humidity instruments and can offer very competative prices for this service.

FURTHER EXPANSION FOR CHARNWOOD

Charnwood Instrumentation have just invested in a new (RH) Relative Humidity chamber from Rotronics. This has now enabled us to carry out very accurate calibration on most
RH sensors and hand held instruments traceable to UKAS. Our next step is to apply for extension to scope from UKAS which will enable us to carry out calibration to the full UKAS standard. This will make Charnwood unique in Europe being the only company that can calibrate Temperature/Density/ and RH.

And have achieved a lower uncertainty for hydrometer calibration
It has been reduced from 0.1 to 0.05 kg/m3

CIS gains UKAS accreditation for the calibration of Hydrometers

To compliment our existing capability for UKAS calibration of temperature equipment, including mercury-in-glass thermometers, and PRT sensors, Charnwood Instruments are now the only company in England to offer UKAS calibration of hydrometers with a range of 600 kg/ m3 to 2000 kg/m3 .

We are able to offer the same excellent service and delivery times which our customers have come to expect from our temperature calibration laboratory.
